Lazio is the region which Rome is the capital of. There is so much to Lazio than meets the eye. Being from Rome, her surroundings were my back yard while growing up, so allow me to take you to this beautiful countryside, by lodging in a beautiufl medieval town near volcanic lakes, beautiful historic parks and Etruscan ruins. All while sipping and tasting the local regional cuisine, which changes from corner to corner of the region.
Follow me into the countryside to the northwest of Rome, where part of my family is from and where I lived as a child.
I will host you for one week in your own private flat or villa (depending on time of year), and will show you central Italy's Lazio countryside, with its stunning medieval towns atop bluffs made of tuff, all while tasting Lazio's delicious cuisine (both at local restaurants and with your own private chef).
Some of the hilltop towns in the itinerary are Bracciano, (when part of my family is from), Anguillara, Trevignano, Orvieto, and Civita Di Bagnoreggio.
We will be tasting wines, olive oils, cheeses and artisan waters, while living amongst the locals. We'll take a passeggiata (and afternoon walk) to savor local gelato and sip espressos, while we take in the scents and sights of small-town living in the Lazio countryside.
